Great Barrington, Massachusetts

Our drive took us past rolling farm fields bordered by distant mountains and on into quaint downtown Great Barrington. It was a busy little place and very charming, like entering a mini-metropolis, but like the saying goes; don't blink or you'll miss everything!

Joyceville, Connecticut

Route 41 in the far northwest corner of Connecticut is a beautiful back road drive. It runs along the mountains that make up part of the Connecticut section of the Appalachian trail. Also along this route are some very serene pastoral farm scenes and their contented animal residents.
